There is one very small split to the silver at the rim (please see photographs), however as it follows the scroll edge it is barely perceptible. There are signs of historic sympathetic repairs to four of the elephant ears (please see photographs) but this is no way affects the aesthetics of the piece

The hip flask has a monogram to the front and stamped registration number to the neck

the windows have a remarkable appearance of glass
